ITINERARY
-Pick
up from Hotel at 06.30am and transfer to airport for 8am flight to
Izmir. Meet at the airport.(with package tour)
-A fully Guided Ephesus Tour, one of the best preserved classical city
of the Eastern Mediterranean dated back to 2000 years BC. We will walk
along the sacred marble street connecting the Great Theater with the
library of Celsius. We will see the Commercial Agora and walk along the
marble Curetes Street which has beautiful mosaics paved on sidewalks,
explore the gymnasium, visit temple of Hadrian, and lots of other
interesting monuments of the old Roman city. A visit to Ephesus - once
the commercial centre of the ancient world - is a highlight of any visit
to Turkey. The city, whose wealth and patronage supported its splendid
architectural program, was dedicated to the goddess Artemis. Her
enormous temple, once considered one of the seven wonders of the Ancient
World and rebuilt several times, dates in its latest form from the third
century B.C. The tour of the ruins also includes a theatre, gymnasium,
agora and baths, as well as the Library of Celsus, . Later we will drive
to the hilltop where we visit the miraculously discovered Virgin Mary’s
House.
